Hello. Thank you for visiting my Feeding Missouri fundraising page.
Between June 1st and August 31st I've committed myself to complete the Missouri Virtual Endurance Challenge. Over the next 92 days I plan to walk, run, hike, and/or bike 500 miles. That's the equivalent of traveling from St. Louis to Kansas City and back. My goal is to fund raise $500; $1 for every mile I achieve. All proceeds will go to Feeding Missouri, a non-profit that works with food banks across the state to provide hunger relief for those in need. Collectively, Feeding Missouri distributes more than 120 million pounds of food each year.
You may be asking yourself why? Well, the world today is full of injustices. It's time I started to recognize the privilege I have and utilize it for good, instead of peacefully staying in my own little bubble. There is no honor is staying silent or not taking action when I have the ability to do something.
I am privileged to be healthy enough to achieve this goal.
I am privileged to not be afraid to walk/run outside because of the color of my skin.
I am privileged to have never known what it's like to go hungry.
I am privileged to work for an institution whose mission is to develop men and women for and with others. #GodBlessGoBills
Words are good, but action is better. So for the rest of my summer my mantra will be "Fitness is hard. Going hungry is harder."
Please help me reach my fundraising goal by donating to this great cause. Every little bit helps. If you are filling inspired and want to join the Missouri Virtual Endurance Challenge feel free to join my team "Too Inspired to be Tired."
